Volcán Overo

Sulfur in the Andes of southern Mendoza

A project associated with sulfur exploration in a geological environment of volcanic and hydrothermal origin.

Project framework

Geological context

Building a progressively stronger understanding.

Volcán Overo adds a distinct geological expression to the portfolio and expands its diversification into mineral systems associated with volcanic and hydrothermal processes.

The strategy combines historical and geological background with geomorphological analysis, territorial interpretation and modern exploration tools to build a technical evaluation framework.

The objective at this stage is to improve interpretation and prioritize areas or questions that warrant more detailed study, without anticipating technical or economic conclusions.

02

Properties

Two properties. One integrated analytical framework.

01

Volcán Overo I

A sulfur exploration property associated with an Andean volcanic environment. The study seeks to understand known occurrences and their geological controls.

Background for exploration guidance
02

Volcán Overo II

A complementary property that enables the system to be assessed from a broader territorial perspective and different occurrences to be compared.

Background for exploration guidance
03

Methodology

Technical evaluation

Hypotheses, evidence and next steps.

01

Critical review of geological and historical background.

02

Integration of mapping, territorial analysis and remote sensing.

03

Technically justified surface reconnaissance.

04

Progressive prioritization of evaluation objectives.
